500m2 of Castelhano and Ferreira CFRF acoustic planks in natural Oak veneer were installed to the walls of the isles and stairways in the new library at the Luton Campus of Bedford University.
The library is spread over 7 floors including silent study rooms, group work and meeting spaces, computer labs and presentation facilities and a café and vending machines as well as miles of bookshelves

The walls were installed to the new 24 hourlibrary at the 100 year old campus as part of a £46m regeneration project creating a new hub for the University. In addition to an impressive traditional library space the building houses a range of other facilities for students and staff inlcuding a cafe, formal and informal social study and silent study space, high-speed wifi and mains and USB power supplies at every workspace and seating area.
