Gustafs Stories - Torfaen College and Biophilic Design
In their recent digital magazine issue, Gustafs featured our project Torfaen College as part of their issue on biophilic design for education and learning environments.
HLM architects championed the need for the campus to be as bright and airy as possible. Designers carried themes of forestry through the atrium and café areas using green colour pallets alongside natural wood products.
Biophilic design aims to incorporate natural light and materials in indoor environments, benefiting emotional health and wellbeing as well as creating inspiring study spaces.
